What You'll Do
As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering life-changing cancer care. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Administering precise ionizing radiation treatments using linear accelerators and CT imaging in compliance with physician prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Maintaining thorough and accurate electronic documentation of all treatments, patient progress, and clinical data.
- Positioning patients with care and precision, ensuring safety and comfort throughout each session.
- Operating and performing quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
- Collaborating with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and the broader clinical team to deliver individualized, high-quality patient care.
- Educating and reassuring patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Post-secondary vocational or specialized training in Radiation Therapy or a related field
- New graduates welcome — we invest in developing the next generation of radiation therapy professionals
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of clinical radiation therapy experience preferred
- New grads with clinical rotations are encouraged to apply!
Required Licenses & Certifications
- ARRT Registration (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Texas Medical Board — Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license
- Radiologic Technologist licensure in the state of Texas
- Current CPR / BLS certification
Technical Skills
- Proficiency operating a linear accelerator
- Experience with CT imaging equipment
- Comfort with clinical software and personal computer systems
