Job Duties
- Perform CT scanning procedures accurately and efficiently per physician orders and department protocols
- Develop, initiate, and monitor procedures to ensure the safe and effective utilization of the CT scanner
- Position patients correctly for imaging while ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Operate CT equipment and related technology in compliance with radiation safety standards
- Review images for quality and technical accuracy before submission to radiologists
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and imaging files
- Monitor and maintain CT equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation protection guidelines for patients and staff
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide excellent patient communication and customer service throughout the imaging process
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registered
- Texas Medical Board – MRT (Medical Radiologic Technologist) license
- CPR/BLS Certification required
